First...let's understand the goal of the system. The purpose of open play is to mix players of various skills. This event is more social than competitive. We want to foster community here. We want the more experienced players to get to know the newer players and help them along. We want the newer players to know they have a place that they can come play against better players and not feel like they're holding them back. It's open play...it's all about fun, so leave your reservations and your ego at the gate and just come play for fun!!!

When you get to the court, put your paddle on the rack.

When there are many paddles stacked; four in - four out. (If the waiting time gets too long, play to eight points)

When there are few paddles stacked; two in - two out.

Play to eleven, win by one.

If you see that you are playing with the same person frequently. Hold your paddle for a minute or two, then place it on the rack.

Remember we have 448 members that would like to play. If the 10:00time slot was too busy for you, maybe go earlier or later.

It would be nice if each person had their name on his/her paddle. That helps to save time looking for the owner when it’s his/her paddle on deck.
